The Networks Lab workshop
is an annual workshop organized with the objective of bringing
together graduate students, faculty members, and industry
guests working in all areas in computer communications and
networking. It serves as a forum for the dissemination of
state-of-the-art research in networking and sharing research
experience. Meanwhile, it also provides a great opportunity
for graduate students in networking to discuss their research
work in a public setting and get feedback from peers, faculty
members and working professionals.
This year's workshop will be held on Saturday,
May 13, 2006 from 10:00am to 5:00 pm at 1131/1127 Kemper Hall,
UC Davis. In addition to student research presentations, Networks
Lab Workshop 2006 features a distinguished keynote speech, faculty
talks, guest talks, and panel discussions. Meanwhile, the
workshop will also hosts student poster exhibitions and research
demonstrations.
We aim to bring forward the latest research
work including, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Access Network
- Ad Hoc Networks
- Internet Routing/Services/Applications
- Multicasting
- Network Architecture
- Network Survivability
- Optical Networking
- Overlay Networks
- Peer-to-Peer Networks
- Protocols
- Satellite Networks
- Sensor Networks
- Traffic Measurement/Engineering
- Wireless Networks
We expect more alumni and friends from both
academia and industry participate this year’s workshop.
We hope to grow this into a big event at UC Davis in the future.
